How to change SSID and WiFi password of Ooredoo fiber optic internet?

If your home fiber internet setup is similar to one below, with 2 devices an Huawei and Linksys, then continue our article to change your wireless name and password. If Ooredoo provided only one device, Huawei, then continue to last portion of this article.

There are 2 version of firmware running on the access point, the screen appearance and navigation menu differ for each version. So if Design 1 is not working for you, then try Design 2.

1.Login to your Home Gateway-Fibre to the Home using its default IP address, http://192.168.100.1

2.If your login screen appears as you see in the below screen, login with default password as admin. If the screen appearance is different, skip following steps and move to Design 2.

3. After successful login, click on Wireless tab

4. You will see option to edit your SSID Network Name (Wireless Name) and Password. You make sure that you change the name and password for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz network and Apply the changes.

3.You will see option to edit your SSID Network Name (Wireless Name) and Password. You make sure that you change the name and password for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz network and Save the changes.

 

In initial times of fiber setup, Ooredoo installs only one device, Huawei that act as both router and access point. If this is the case for you, then you need to change wireless name and password in a different way.

1.Login to your Home Gateway-Fibre to the Home using its default IP address, http://192.168.100.1

2.Login with default username and password – telecomadmin and admintelecom

3.If you see a tab named WLAN, then you are in the right device to change your wireless name and password. If you don’t see WLAN option, then your wireless settings are configured in a different access point.

4.Click on WLAN option,
– Change SSID Name to your favorite wireless name
– Change WPA PreSharedKey to the password you prefer
– Click Apply

Now your have a favorite wireless name and password.
